Recruitment privacy notice
This notice explains how the Board uses the information you give on this recruitment portal. It sits under the Board-wide NG-CDF Board Data Privacy Statement, which applies to every NG-CDF platform and which you agree to before creating an account.
Version 1.0. Issued under the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Who we are
The National Government Constituencies Development Fund Board ("the Board") is the data controller for the personal data you give on this portal. You can contact the Board's Data Protection Officer at [email protected].
Why we use your data
Only to assess your application for employment, internship or attachment with the Board, to communicate with you about it, to meet our duties under the Constitution and employment law (including fair competition, merit and representation of Kenya's diversity), and, if you are appointed, to create your staff record.
What we collect
Your identity and contact details, qualifications, work history, professional memberships, referees, the documents you upload and your answers. Equal opportunity information (gender, disability) is optional, kept separately, never shown to the people who score applications, and used only in anonymous compliance reports.
Who sees it
Authorised Human Resource staff, the members of the panel appointed for the post you apply for (who must declare any conflict of interest), approving officers, and auditors. ICT administrators maintain the system but cannot read applications. We do not sell or share your data for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
If you are not appointed, your application data is anonymised 24 months after the recruitment ends. If you are appointed, it becomes part of your staff record. Inactive accounts are removed after 36 months.
Where it is stored
On the Board's servers in Kenya. Identity numbers and documents are encrypted.
Your rights
You may see and correct your data at any time in your account, and ask the Data Protection Officer for a copy, to object, or to have it deleted where the law allows. You may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
